Integrated Trunk Handle Backup Camera
Upgrade your Audi with a high-quality, seamlessly integrated backup camera that replaces your factory trunk handle, retaining the electronic trunk release button for a clean, OEM-style installation. Please ensure you enter your vehicle information accurately at checkout so we can provide the correct fitment.
Critical Installation Warning
This is not a direct replacement for a factory-installed camera. Installation requires running a new video signal wire from your RSNAV head unit to the vehicle's trunk or tailgate. It does not plug into any existing factory camera wiring.
Camera Technology & Compatibility
We offer two camera technologies to match your RSNAV system:
- Standard CVBS: A quality camera compatible with older systems.
- AHD 720p: A high-definition camera offering approximately 4 times the resolution and image quality of CVBS. This is the recommended choice for modern RSNAV units.
Important Compatibility Rules:
- The AHD 720p camera is designed for RSNAV S3, S4, and S5 systems.
- AHD is NOT backward compatible with RSNAV S2 or any other head unit that only supports CVBS signals.
- If you purchase this camera along with a new S5 system, we will automatically send the superior AHD version to match your new unit.
Special Note for Cabriolet Owners
Due to their unique trunk design, Cabriolet models are not compatible with the trunk handle camera. For all Cabriolet orders, we will send a high-quality camera that is integrated into a license plate light fixture, ensuring a clean and secure fit.
